FINAL DAY OF THE FAST

by Mark Jobe 27. January 2011 04:06
Today is the last day of our twenty five day season of Prayer and Fasting.

It has been incredible to see hundreds and hundreds of people throughout New Life join in the journey of consecrating this time to God. As I review the past 25 days several thoughts come to mind....

▪   Chapel wall filled with prayer requests….. so many pressing needs.
▪   People weeping at the altar…so much brokenness.
▪   Growling stomachs…trying to turn appetite into hunger for God.
▪   Powerful testimonies at renewal meetings….. so much faith.
▪   All night prayer vigils….. people persevering before the throne.
▪   Early morning prayer times…. this day belongs to you Lord.
▪   Tired body craving food…. renewed spirit craving God
▪   Crying out for more of him….. moments of fresh encounters
▪   Sick of juices and broth…. the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak

Fasting is never easy, but the spiritual fruit is never wasted. There are breakthroughs that have been set in motion during this fast that we will not
see with our natural eyes for months or sometimes even years, but have already begun.
There are hearts that have been renewed, chains that have been loosened, prodigals that have been called back, marriages that have been reclaimed, dreams that have been revived, flesh that has been put back in its place, faith that has been refreshed, words that have been released, territory that has been claimed and divine destinies that have been set in motion.

May fasting and prayer be more than just a season, may it be woven into the fabric of our living. May Praying, Giving and Fasting (Matthew 6) become part of the rhythm of our life.

Blessings,

Pastor Mark

Berwyn has been launched!

by Mark Jobe 22. March 2009 19:45

Congratulations Pastor George, Margie and New Life Berwyn. My wife Dee and children were at the Grand Opening representing the Jobe family this past Sunday March 22nd. I received a phone message from my wife at 12:15 saying that the auditorium, including the balcony, was filled with people. Everyone who I have talked to was gushing with excitement about this first service. I am told that over 365 people packed into the church to celebrate this first Sunday. The worship was powerful, the message was inspiring, people made decisions to follow Christ and the fellowship and food afterwards was great.

Berwyn is off to an amazing start. All of New Life is celebrating with you and cheering for your success.

Blessings

Pastor Mark

New Life Berwyn

by Mark Jobe 18. March 2009 01:11

On Monday I was at the church in Berwyn praying with some other men for the Grand Opening on March 22nd. There was such a sense of expectant faith. I came out of that prayer time really excited about what God is going to do through this church. As we prayed it struck me that God has been preparing the way for New Life to minister to Berwyn for many years. For years we have had families from that community attend our church. We have had Bible studies in the area and many friends from the community. Literally thousands of people have been praying for this amazing opportunity.

I talked with Pastor George Sosa today and he is excited and ready to open the doors to the people of Berwyn and surrounding areas. To all of you at New Life Berwyn I want to say we are cheering for you and waiting to hear a good report.

Blessings.
