Last night I was glancing through
a Bible Study to see if I wanted to lead it for a small group. As I was skimming
it, I noticed the author posed a question that seemed to leap off the page and
demanded my attention. So I stopped and took time to reflect on this
question. I am so glad I did for I found this to be a wonderful time of
praise. It was such a good time, that I felt I had to share this with you.
Here is the question: “What are some of your
favorite promises from God’s Word? “
Let me share a few promises that I began to contemplate:
“I will never leave you or forsake
you.” Hebrews 13:5
“Being confident
of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion
until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
“If we are faithless, He remains
faithful.” 2Timothy 2:13
“His love endures forever.” Psalm

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor
life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor
powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will have the power
to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!”
“Romans 8:38-39
During
this Christmas season, we celebrate the fulfillment of God’s promise of
the Messiah; the birth of our Lord and Savior. “For a child will be
born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His
shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father,
Prince of Peace. The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never
end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish
and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now and forever more.”
Isaiah 9:6-7
God’s
Fulfillment: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.” John 3:16
God
keeps His promises. Spend time rejoicing in His promises, for He is faithful.
His love endures forever. Can I hear an Amen!
